Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information shoishop collects when you browse, create an account or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and/or phone number, and a password (stored securely hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Order and delivery details: your delivery address, phone number, the items you order and your order history.
- Messages: what you send us when you contact support or make a claim, including any photos or videos you provide as proof.
- Technical data: basic information about your device and browser, and how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use it
- to process, deliver and support your orders, including handling claims;
- to create and secure your account;
- to show relevant products, such as recently viewed and recommended items;
- to measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested;
- to keep the site safe, prevent fraud and fix problems; and
- to improve our products and services.
3. Who we share it with
- Courier partners: your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver your order.
- Shops on shoishop: the details of orders placed with them, so they can fulfil those orders.
- Service providers that host the site or help us run it, acting on our behalf.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): we use the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta which pages and products you view, what you add to your cart and buy, along with technical data such as your browser and IP address. When you place an order, our servers also send Meta the order and your phone number, name, city and email (if you gave one) in scrambled (hashed) form, so the order can be matched to a Facebook or Instagram account without those details being sent in readable form. This lets us measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people likely to be interested. Meta uses this under its own privacy policy, and you can choose how it uses it for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are needed for the site to work (such as keeping you signed in and remembering your cart), to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising (the Meta Pixel, described above). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work without them.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account and as long as needed for orders, accounting and legal obligations.
6. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, subject to any records we must keep by law.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please keep your password private.
8. Children
shoishop sells products for children but is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
